Newport Beach slab leak repair splits cleanly along the city two halves. Down by the harbor, the older homes of the Balboa Peninsula, Balboa Island, and Corona del Mar breathe salt air that corrodes their aging copper from the outside. Harbor salt versus hillside post-tension
On the peninsula and the islands, the housing is older and the air is heavy with salt, so copper laid in those slabs corrodes from the outside as the damp, briny ground works on it.
